VIBE Medical Philosophy

Dr. Young-moon Yoo shares the story behind opening VIBE Plastic Surgery and his core medical philosophy of integrity and commitment to patients.

VIBE Medical Philosophy

Hello.

I am Dr. Young-moon Yoo, Director of VIBE Plastic Surgery.

Today, I would like to talk about why I decided to open my own clinic and the medical philosophy that guides how I run it. (Since this might be something you are not particularly curious about... I will try to keep it as brief and engaging as possible ^^;)

I. Timing & Reason for Opening

It is true that I had many concerns about opening a clinic at a time when the entire nation was struggling due to COVID-19 and economic indicators were poor.

However, regardless of the pandemic, I had originally planned to open my practice around this time. I had a personal roadmap that once I reached this point in my career, I would be able to run a clinic under my own name without feeling ashamed before my clients; it just so happened that the global issue of COVID-19 broke out during that period.

In reality, I do not think there is ever a ‘perfect time’ to start a business. Every period comes with its own set of worries and challenges.

So, I made up my mind and proceeded as planned.

II. Medical Philosophy & Future Plans

I have not set any grandiose dreams or monumental plans.

Rather, my philosophy is simply: ‘Let us never be ashamed before the clients who trust and visit me.’ Whether it is the process or the result, I aim to do my absolute best.

It sounds simple, right? Perhaps even a bit cliché? Haha.

However, these things that are considered common sense are often the hardest to uphold. I will strive to be Dr. Yoo of VIBE Plastic Surgery—someone who never loses his original intention and always sticks to the fundamentals.

As I wrap up this post, I suddenly recall a piece of advice another senior doctor once gave me. While it sounds a bit sad and draining, I keep it engraved in my heart because it feels so realistic.

‘You might think now is the hardest time, but even harder situations will always come.’

We are all going through a difficult period, but let us all find strength together!!

Thank you.
