This patient also visited us through a referral

Both molars had been extracted a long time ago,

and the upper jawbone was too thin

to place implants.

The lower front teeth required extraction due to periodontitis,

and the upper front teeth were protruding and gapped

due to a collapsed bite.

Chewing with the molars was impossible,

so they couldn't eat properly, and I wanted to help them

eat as soon as possible.

‘My bone condition is so bad, is surgery even possible?’

However, the treatment period will inevitably be longer,

and the remaining teeth must also be treated concurrently.

Although the bone was very thin, the goal was to perform extensive bone grafting

and implant placement simultaneously.

The surgery was performed carefully, meticulously, and quickly.

In cases like this patient's,

surgery without gum incision is impossible, so

the advantages of the 3D navigation guide cannot be 100% utilized,

but it was used for faster placement.

Fortunately, the implant surgery with simultaneous bone grafting was successful.

The surgery was ultimately successful,

and although there was some swelling,

thanks to the patient's cooperation,

we were able to finish well.

While waiting for the implant to stabilize,

the patient wore a temporary denture,

recovered the collapsed bite,

restored the remaining natural teeth,

and also had a period of using temporary teeth to stabilize the temporomandibular joint.

If you look at the upper front teeth, the collapsed bite was restored,

and giving the natural teeth time to recover,

the front teeth naturally found their beautiful place.

The patient used temporary dentures for quite a long time,

and hearing that they can now chew normally

was a very rewarding moment.^^
