Plastic Surgery Myths Debunked by Private Plastic Surgery Clinic

The Private Plastic Surgery Clinic addresses common myths about plastic surgery, from optimal surgery times to anesthesia and implant concerns.

Plastic Surgery Myths Debunked by Private Plastic Surgery Clinic

Today, we're joined by Director Lee Jin-hwa and Director Lee Jun-woo from Private Plastic Surgery Clinic
to discuss various plastic surgery myths.

We've all heard these things, but we're not quite sure if they're true.
Are they really facts? We've gathered some of these questions.
Shall we find out right now?

Q1. Is it better to have surgery in the morning? NO!
Many of you might worry that surgeons' concentration might decrease in the afternoon due to fatigue.
However, Directors Lee Jin-hwa and Lee Jun-woo maintain the same level of surgical concentration in both the morning and afternoon.

Q2. Is it better to have surgery in winter? NO!
This is another very common question.
It seems these rumors arose from concerns about inflammation.
However, since the surgery and wounds are not large, they are not significantly affected by weather or sweat,
meaning the surgical outcome is not affected by any season :)

Q3. Does inserting silicone during nose surgery cause inflammation? Do implants need to be replaced every 10 years? NO!
Although silicone is a foreign body internally, if there are no specific problems,
it does not need to be removed.

Q4. Does general anesthesia shorten one's lifespan?
Q5. Does sedation anesthesia make one less intelligent?
All NO!
The myth that general anesthesia shortens one's lifespan has not been scientifically
or medically proven.
Also, one might think such stories arise from concerns about potential brain damage due to low oxygen saturation during sedation anesthesia.
However, with advancements in monitoring equipment, there are no cases of reduced intelligence due to sedation anesthesia.

In addition, is revision rhinoplasty always necessary?
Should young people not undergo plastic surgery?
Does nose surgery make one's eyes appear closer together?
Can people with keloid-prone skin not have plastic surgery? And so on.
The directors took the time to answer questions one by one regarding plastic surgery myths.
