Discussion of New Smile LASIK Research Results Using ATOS Equipment

Executives from SCHWIND, a global ophthalmic surgical equipment company based in Germany,

visited Gangnam Smile Eye Clinic.

The visiting delegation, consisting of four individuals including SCHWIND's Vice President Las Ederleh and Sales Manager Alex Schroeck,

conducted an in-depth discussion with the medical staff of Gangnam Smile Eye Clinic regarding the latest upgraded version of ATOS, the New Smile LASIK surgical equipment, after a hospital tour.

Notably, when the medical staff of Gangnam Smile Eye Clinic, who were the first in Korea to introduce ATOS equipment and are the most active worldwide in performing New Smile LASIK,

explained their research findings on the correlation between ATOS equipment's low thermal energy and rapid recovery, the delegation was visibly impressed!

The medical staff of Gangnam Smile Eye Clinic has been recognized for their expertise in the clinical application and research of New Smile LASIK using ATOS equipment, including presenting their clinical results on the astigmatism correction effect of New Smile LASIK at the ‘2023 European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS)’ and publishing them in the Journal of Refractive Surgery (JRS), one of the most authoritative international academic journals in ophthalmology.
