The recent monsoon season has caused flooding in many areas.

We sincerely hope there are no casualties.

Hello everyone.

Today, I'd like to introduce a meaningful event

that Smile Eye Clinic is currently undertaking.

People in their 20s and 30s who undergo vision correction surgeries like LASIK or LASEK

no longer need their old prescription

glasses or contact lenses.

And for those aged 40 to 70,

after presbyopia or cataract surgery,

they often no longer need reading glasses.

Smile Eye Clinic has set up a glasses donation box

to prevent these glasses from being indiscriminately discarded

after eye surgery.

Once Smile Eye Clinic's glasses donation box is full,

the glasses will be carefully cleaned

and donated to children in educational poverty in Africa and Asia

through ADRF, an international relief non-governmental organization.

ADRF began in 1994 as a tent classroom for Liberian refugees,

whose lives and spirits were devastated by a long civil war.

Currently, it operates 26 ‘Hope Classrooms’ in 14 countries,

providing educational support programs

for impoverished children.

As this initiative became known, the number of students

attending the Hope Classrooms continues to increase.

Starting with about 60 students, the Hope Classrooms

now serve 105 students.
