This patient visited us urgently one day just before the clinic closed.

The very center of their front tooth was broken, but there was no pain or other symptoms.

The surrounding teeth were healthy, and the fracture was not extensive, so we focused on the occlusion with the opposite front tooth

and made the color and shape as identical as possible to the symmetrical tooth.

A tooth that has received a sudden impact might seem fine at first,

but over about a month, the nerve can slowly necrose. If the tooth color darkens after treatment,

it could indicate pulp necrosis, so a check-up is essential.

This patient came in because their front tooth had chipped slightly while eating.

Although it would have been sufficient to just smooth the sharp part,

the patient wanted to restore the shape because the chipped area was aesthetically unpleasing.

Since even very small fracture areas at the tip of the tooth can easily detach,

we focused on adhesion to ensure the resin could be maintained on the widest possible tooth surface.

Even after shaping, adjustments must be made to areas where occlusal interference occurs with the opposing tooth to ensure long-lasting retention without detachment.

For partial fractures of front teeth, the treatment method can vary depending on the extent of the fracture.

If the fracture is very extensive, exposing the nerve or causing cracks in surrounding teeth,

tooth stabilization, root canal treatment, and crown treatment are necessary.

In cases like the one above, where the nerve was exposed

and the patient was complaining of pain, simple resin restoration was difficult.

For front tooth treatment, restoring function is important, of course,

but the aesthetic element provided by the tooth's shape is also very crucial,

so front tooth treatments often take a lot of time and involve many considerations.
