# Buccal fat exists over a very wide area. We only remove the excess fat in the cheek area (the lower portion of the fat pad). A major advantage is that it leaves no visible scars since the incision is made inside the mouth.

# ‘LipoSound’ is a device that uses ultrasound to emulsify fat. It liquefies fat particles, which are normally like orange pulp, into a juice-like state.

1. It is much smoother—fat can be squeezed out like water without applying great force, and it can be suctioned through a very small cannula. This results in much less irritation, leading to faster recovery from bruising and swelling. Consequently, ‘bio-bonds’ (post-operative adhesions) are also significantly reduced.
