Lower Canthoplasty
Lower canthoplasty case report: 20s female with upturned eye corners. Includes consultation, surgical plan, and 1-month post-op photos.

* Basic Information
· Female, 20s
· History: Incisional double eyelid surgery and medial epicanthoplasty (several years ago)
· Chief complaint: My outer eye corners are raised, making my eyes look cramped and harsh.
* Consultation
1. The left eye appears slightly smaller. (The outer corner is a bit more upturned, giving a faintly squinting look, right?) In most cases, the left eye does tend to be slightly smaller — this is likely due to embryological reasons. (I recall hearing this at a conference ^^;)
2. In this patient's case, we need to be careful not to overcorrect with the lower canthoplasty, as excessive correction could result in scleral show (commonly known as 'three-white eyes').
* Plan
Lower canthoplasty

* Post-operative Progress
· The symmetry has improved as well, hasn't it? My effort to pull the left side a little more firmly during surgery seems to have paid off. The outcome is satisfying — a natural improvement without going too far.
Consultations and surgery should be performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon!
Wishing you both health and beauty today :)
