Short Nose Revision Surgery!
A case study of a 20-year-old female patient who underwent short nose revision surgery to correct visible nostrils and a bulbous tip.

* Basic Information
# Female in her 20s
# Medical History: Underwent nasal tip cartilage tying several years ago
# Main Complaints: The nose became shorter after the previous surgery, making the nostrils very visible. I also want to improve the bulbous look of my nose!
* Consultation
1. She had nose surgery several years ago, but was dissatisfied because the tip was too short and blunt.
2. We planned to lengthen the nasal tip while making it more defined and sophisticated.
* Surgical Plan
1. Bridge Rhinoplasty
- Augmentation
- Hump correction
2. Tip Rhinoplasty
- Bulbous nose correction
- Short nose correction

* Post-operative Progress
# You can see that the bulbous tip has been corrected, and at the same time, the visibility of the nostrils has significantly decreased.
# A short nose with excessive nostril visibility can give a somewhat ‘light’ or less refined impression. Therefore, the height and length must be sufficiently extended to create a sophisticated and high-end look.
# When performing short nose surgery, especially revision cases, it is crucial to sufficiently dissect scar tissue and build a strong internal support structure so that the tip tissue can be fully extended and maintained.
# Excessive nostril visibility makes the nose look shorter and can create an unfavorable impression. The visible nostril size must be reduced through accurate cause analysis.
What if your nostrils are too visible?? (1) If the tip itself is short and upturned -> Short nose correction (2) If only the alar rims are retracted -> Alar rim lowering (3) If the columella is drooping -> Columella correction (4) If the nostrils are wide -> Alar reduction
