Stop Using Eyelid Tape!!

* Basic Information

• Patient: Female in her 20s
• Eye-opening strength: Slightly weak
• Skin thickness: The skin has become red and thickened due to excessive use of eyelid tape.
• Main complaints & goals: Wants a refreshed eyelid line without relying on eyelid tape!

* Consultation

• The patient’s eyelid skin was significantly thickened and reddened due to prolonged use of eyelid tape.
• We planned an ‘Incisional’ Ptosis Correction to create a clear, refreshed impression that will not come undone.
• Since the skin is on the thicker side, non-incisional or partial incision methods might lead to the line loosening or unraveling. Therefore, the incisional method was highly recommended!
• Eyelid tape is very irritating to the skin, so using it for a long period is not advisable. Please, everyone, stop using it!!

• With the creation of a natural double eyelid line and the correction of eye-opening strength, the patient now has a clearer and brighter impression.
• I was concerned that the thickened skin might prevent a clean line from forming, but fortunately, the desired result was achieved!
• Many people worry that incisional surgery will look unnatural, too deep, or awkward. However, if the surgery is performed according to the proper indications, there is no need to worry about scarring or lack of naturalness.
