Think Twice Before Getting Upper Blepharoplasty! (Endoscopic Brow Lift, Lower Blepharoplasty + Midface Lift)
A case study of a woman in her 50s achieving a youthful, natural look through an endoscopic brow lift and midface lift instead of traditional upper blepharoplasty.

# Current Concerns
- As I age, my eyebrows are sagging, and I have to lift them to see, which worsens asymmetry and makes me look grumpy.
- The area under my eyes is bulging and hollow, making me look older and constantly tired.
* Consultation
- Since the forehead and eyes cannot be considered separately, we planned to address eyebrow and eyelid sagging as well as forehead wrinkles through an endoscopic brow lift.
- Because the brow lift resolves much of the eyelid sagging, a simple ‘natural adhesion’ non-incisional double eyelid surgery is sufficient to create the desired line.
- We decided to combine lower blepharoplasty with a midface lift to reinforce the anterior cheek area for a more youthful appearance.

1. By securing space between the eyebrows and eyes through a brow lift, the patient’s impression looks much brighter than before, and a clear double eyelid line was created using only natural adhesion. Additionally, as forehead and frown lines are smoothed out, the forehead contour becomes softer and more aesthetic.
2. Many middle-aged patients first think of upper blepharoplasty when their eyelids sag. However, if done hastily, it can drastically change one’s impression in an unflattering way. Please check my videos to understand why I advise against getting upper blepharoplasty without careful consideration.
3. In the case of lower blepharoplasty, combining it with a midface lift while firmly performing orbicularis oculi muscle suspension creates volume in the front cheeks, resulting in a much younger look.
4. Natural results are the most important factor in anti-aging surgery. If the change in impression is too drastic, it can be burdensome and difficult for the patient to adjust to!
