Bulbous Nose Rhinoplasty and Columella Correction
A case study of a female patient in her 20s who underwent bulbous nose correction and columella lengthening to achieve a more refined and sophisticated nasal profile.

* Basic Information
# Female in her 20s
# Low nasal bridge and a bulbous nose tip.
# The columella is retracted, making the nose look covered and stuffy.
* Consultation
# The patient visited for bulbous nose correction. While a blunt nose was traditionally called a ‘lucky nose’ in Korea, many now seek improvement because it can look heavy or undefined. Simultaneously, the columella is significantly retracted, giving a somewhat ‘stuffy’ appearance. We need to create an ideal nasolabial angle through columella lengthening (pulling the columella down).
# By refining the nose tip and raising the bridge line, we expect a highly satisfying nasal silhouette.
* Surgical Plan
# Tip Plasty (Bulbous nose correction, Columella lengthening)
# Rhinoplasty (Silicone implant for the bridge)

* Post-operative Progress
# We achieved a slimmer, more refined look by correcting the bulbous nose.
# Before surgery, the nose tip was drooping and the columella appeared retracted. By using septal cartilage and donated rib cartilage to extend the columella, the nasolabial angle was restored. The line connecting the nose to the philtrum has become much more sophisticated and beautiful.
