No-Implant Male Rhinoplasty!
A case study of a male patient in his 40s who achieved a refined, natural look through no-implant rhinoplasty focusing on hump reduction and bulbous tip correction.

* Basic Information
# Male in his 40s
# Primary concerns: Dorsal hump and a drooping nose tip!
* Consultation
1. The patient’s biggest complaint was the bumpy side profile caused by a dorsal hump.
2. He also wanted to address a blunt nose tip that lacked a sharp, defined projection, as well as a protruding section inside the left nostril when viewed from below.
3. Since the bridge of his nose was already quite high, we planned to proceed with a ‘no-implant’ approach.
* Surgical Plan
1. Bridge Rhinoplasty
- Hump correction
- Osteotomy
- No-implant (natural bridge)
2. Tip Rhinoplasty
- Septal extension graft
- Bulbous tip correction
- Removal of the protruding portion (cartilage) inside the nostril

* Post-operative Progress
1. The post-operative results show a natural yet well-defined nose tip. Because the patient originally had a high bridge, we were able to achieve a great shape without using any artificial implants.
2. By correcting the bulbous tip, not only did the shape of the nose improve, but the patient’s overall impression became much more sophisticated and refined.
3. The protrusion inside the nostril was cartilage. By sculpting, trimming, and securing it with sutures to minimize the protrusion, we were able to improve the nostril asymmetry as well, leading to a very successful outcome.
