Hump Nose Rhinoplasty

Correcting an uneven nasal bridge caused by a hump and residual filler lumps using autologous cartilage and silicone implants.

Hump Nose Rhinoplasty

* Patient Information

  • Female in her 20s
  • Uneven nasal bridge due to a hump
  • Residual filler from multiple previous procedures forming lumps

* Consultation

  1. Although filler-dissolving injections were administered a week before surgery, lumps are still palpable. Residual filler that has become calcified must be removed under direct vision during surgery.
  2. The uneven bridge line caused by the hump is a major source of stress.
  3. The plan is to refine the nasal tip using autologous cartilage, while smoothing the hump and using a silicone implant for the bridge.

* Surgical Plan

1. Rhinoplasty (Bridge)

  • Removal of residual filler
  • Hump correction
  • Silicone implant

2. Tip-plasty

  • Septal cartilage: Septal extension graft
  • Ear cartilage: Onlay graft

Left Side View (Before / 1 Month After)

* Post-operative Progress

  1. Filler lumps were found to have formed capsules under the skin. They were cleanly removed under direct vision.
  2. After smoothing the hump, a natural line was created using an implant.
  3. With the bridge line refined, the resulting nose profile looks much more natural and clean.
