Lateral and Lower Canthoplasty with Under-Eye Fat Repositioning
A case study of a 30-year-old female patient who achieved a softer, brighter look through Mango Canthoplasty and under-eye fat repositioning with PRP.
* Basic Information
# Female in her 30s
# The outer corners of my eyes are slanted upwards, making me look sharp and aggressive! I also hear that I look tired often because of the dark circles under my eyes.
* Consultation
# The patient visited us because her slanted and closed-off outer eye corners gave her a stuffy and harsh impression. We planned to gently lower and widen the eyes using VIBE Plastic Surgery’s signature ‘Mango Canthoplasty’.
# The area commonly referred to as ‘dark circles’ is more accurately described as a ‘tear trough deformity’. To avoid visible scarring, we planned to approach through the conjunctiva (the red inner lining of the eye) to reposition the protruding fat. Additionally, we decided to use PRP injections to regenerate the dermis and improve the overall skin tone.

# The patient is very satisfied as her eyes look larger and her impression has become much softer now that the outer corners are opened up! Since it has only been 3 weeks since the surgery, there is still some slight chemosis (swelling of the conjunctiva), which will resolve with more time.
# Now that the dark circles are addressed, even her skin tone appears much brighter.

1. The skin under the eyes is very thin, making blood vessels and pigmentation easily visible, which can lead to a tired appearance.
2. Under-eye fat repositioning does not require stitch removal, and since bruising and swelling are minimal, the return to daily life is fast. If you have about 2 to 3 days of downtime, it won’t interfere with your routine, so there is no need to hesitate.
