Male Double Chin Liposuction (LipoSound)
A case study of a male patient in his 20s who achieved a sharper jawline through LipoSound ultrasound liposuction for his double chin.

* Basic Information
# Male in his 20s
# Small and relatively short chin
# Concerned about a double chin that looks slightly voluminous, though not severe.
* Consultation
# Although there is not a massive amount of fat in the double chin area, the patient wanted to refine his jawline. While he did not expect a ‘dramatic’ transformation, he visited the clinic hoping for even a slight improvement.
# Using ultrasound, subcutaneous fat can be finely broken down. (Think of turning orange pulp into liquid orange juice). This allows the fat to be squeezed out through tiny openings or removed effectively using only a small cannula.

* Post-operative Progress
# The blunt, heavy feeling disappeared after the jawline and double chin liposuction!

The Principle of LipoSound
# ‘LipoSound’ is a device that uses ultrasound to emulsify fat. It liquefies fat particles, which are like orange pulp, into a juice-like state.
1. It is much smoother—fat can be squeezed out like water without applying great force, and it can be suctioned using only a small cannula. Therefore, there is much less irritation, leading to faster recovery from bruising and swelling. Consequently, ‘bio-bonds’ (post-surgical adhesions) are also significantly reduced. 2. Since ultrasound is emitted beneath the dermis, it provides additional skin elasticity and lifting effects. (As you may know, devices like Ulthera, Shurink, and Doublo Gold all operate on ultrasound principles.)
Consultations and surgeries should be performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon!
