Q. My nose tip drooped a year after surgery. Can I get fillers?
Expert advice on why getting nose tip fillers after rhinoplasty is risky, focusing on infection and necrosis risks.

Hello!
I have prepared a brief session to explain a topic that many of you might be curious about. ^^
Q) My nose tip drooped a year after surgery. Can I get fillers?
A) Hello, I am Dr. Yoo Young-moon, the representative director of VIBE Plastic Surgery, presenting ‘1-Minute Plastic Surgery’.
Today’s question is: ‘My nose tip drooped a year after surgery. Can I get fillers?’ To give you the conclusion first, I do not recommend it.
When performing a filler procedure, some of the resident bacteria present on the skin surface can enter the skin. Before surgery, when there is nothing inside, these resident bacteria do not cause any issues. However, they can multiply around a surgical implant, causing inflammation. This can eventually lead to the formation of a capsule and serious problems such as contracture.
Furthermore, filler procedures can be even more dangerous in the case of the nose tip. In an environment where blood circulation at the tip of the nose has already changed after surgery, adding filler can further compress the blood vessels, potentially leading to severe issues such as skin necrosis.
Therefore, I recommend that you avoid getting fillers after surgery as much as possible.
