JK Business Trip (Changchun, China)

A business trip to Changchun, Jilin Province, the heart of China's automobile industry. Exploring the local culture, cuisine, and professional events.

JK Business Trip (Changchun, China)

Looking up at the cloudless, clear sky, it really feels like ‘autumn’ these days. ^__^

This summer had a lot of gloomy days due to heavy rain and typhoon damage, but as autumn sets in and the weather improves, it feels truly refreshing!

At the very start of early autumn, I took a long-awaited #BusinessTrip to China.

Changchun City, Jilin Province, China

#Changchun

It is the capital of #JilinProvince and a major hub for automobile production in China.

I heard that the factory for #Hongqi, the official state car used by President Xi Jinping, is located right here.

Wow!

After a short flight, I arrived at today's event venue.

Usually, red comes to mind when thinking of China, so seeing this blue interior felt quite fresh.

I see some familiar faces here and there lol.

Oh, wow.

I keep appearing on the large screens too lol.

The interior is very clean and luxurious.

Since #TeaCulture is so well-developed, you can find a #TeaTable ready everywhere you go.

I think it’s a wonderful culture to sit together after a meal, drink tea, and share various stories.

This is where the consultations will take place.

The view outside the window is quite impressive.

The colors and shapes of the buildings are somewhat plain and uninteresting, but exotic landscapes always bring a sense of excitement.

After unpacking my things here, it’s time for lunch!

Stir-fried mushrooms

Chicken dish

Lotus root stuffed with beef

Dumplings

Tofu dish

I just ate them, so I don’t remember all the names lol.

Anyway, they suited my palate perfectly, and I enjoyed them very much.

Actually, since I’m not a picky gourmet and tend to eat whatever is served, this habit helps a lot during business trips to China lol.

After a full lunch, we returned to the venue for a tour of the building.

There is even an #IndoorGarden prepared for VIPs.

The capital power and pace of development in China are truly remarkable.

In one corner of the indoor garden, there is, of course, a tea table.

There is even a screen golf practice range.

If I have some time left after everything is finished, I should give it a swing lol.

A bar stocked with wine and whiskey is also available.

Efforts to cater to the diverse tastes of VIP customers are visible everywhere.

This is the hall where today’s #PPT #Presentation will take place.

Once I finish the presentation and individual consultations here, my role will be complete!

I finally checked into the hotel towards the evening.

The view from the room is fantastic! There’s even a Ferris wheel in front.

The hotel for this trip was the #HyattRegency.

I was surprised to find such a large hotel in a place that doesn't seem to have many tourists.

As expected, there were many Germans. I was told it’s mainly frequented by foreigners involved in the automobile industry.

A salad similar to our mung bean jelly (Cheongpomuk). It’s very savory when mixed with peanut sauce.

#BeijingDuck #PekingDuck

Chinese-style #PorkFeet

#Pea dish

The peas are boiled until they are soft enough to melt in your mouth. Very smooth.

This is a dish of fried flower buns filled with meat.

It’s crispy and delicious. This was the most memorable dish for me.

I was told there isn’t a particularly famous local liquor in this region.

We ordered a Tsingtao special edition(?) beer and a Baijiu produced in Jilin Province.

Is there such a thing as bad alcohol? As long as it gives a nice buzz, it’s fine lol. I just enjoyed drinking it.

Early the next morning, I opened the curtains to this view.

Hmm... doesn't it look like a slightly desolate and gloomy futuristic city from a movie?

The thick fog made it feel even more that way.

About an hour later, it brightened up and the city’s original appearance returned lol.

And so, this business trip has come to an end. Time to head home and play with the kids! ^^

I wonder where the next trip will be!
